Who are the Best Candidates to Freeze Sperm?

Procedure of Cryopreservation (Sperm Freezing)

  1. Before the beginning of the sperm freezing procedure, you have to undergo blood tests to screen whether you have any sexually transmitted infections (STIs).
  2. Go through a decent fraction of paperwork that includes questionnaire fill out, contracts, and legal consents.
  3. About 2 to 3 days before the process, our doctor prescribes you to refrain from having intercourse for getting samples.
  4. We then collect your sample inside a private room of our fertility centre.
  5. Within a few minutes of semen discharge, the living cells of sperm quantity and activity begins to fall.
  6. After masturbation, you are most likely to collect the sample in the sterile cup and deposit it in the laboratory.
  7. We analyse the samples to determine the shape, quantity and movement.
  8. Based on the analysis, our doctors specify how many samples will be required. Typically, you can expect the process from three to a maximum of six samples depending on your sperm quality.
  9. Then our fertility lab technician separates the samples into different vials and freezes sperm to protect them.
  10.  If you fail to deposit sperm through the ejaculation method, our doctor extract sperm directly from your testicles.
  11. The process of sperm freezing in the laboratory starts within just 1 to 2 hours of the sample collection.
